Description
Charlie Kaufman (Nicolas Cage), a neurotic screenwriter, struggles to adapt Susan Orlean's (Meryl Streep) non-fiction book The Orchid Thief into a film — even as his twin brother Donald (also Cage) effortlessly churns out a formulaic thriller. Spike Jonze's deliriously funny and formally audacious film is at once a Hollywood satire, an existential comedy, and a genuine meditation on creativity and adaptation. Winner of the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor (Chris Cooper).
