Description
A widowed matriarch and her five sons migrate from rural southern Italy to Milan in search of a better life, only to be pulled apart by ambition, jealousy, and violence. Luchino Visconti's sprawling family tragedy is a landmark of Italian neorealist-inflected melodrama, presented here in a new 4K restoration.
