Jolene is the thirteenth solo studio album by Dolly Parton, released on February 4, 1974, by RCA Victor. The title track, "Jolene," tells the story of a housewife confronting a beautiful seductress and became Parton's second solo number-one country single. The album includes "I Will Always Love You," written to express remorse over her professional split with Porter Wagoner, which also reached number one on the country charts.
