Description
Laughing Stock is the fifth and final studio album by English band Talk Talk, released in 1991. After the departure of bassist Paul Webb following Spirit of Eden (1988), the band became a duo, consisting of singer/multi-instrumentalist Mark Hollis and drummer Lee Harris. They left EMI and signed with Polydor, who released the album under their revitalized jazz-focused Verve Records label. Recorded at London's Wessex Sound Studios from September 1990 to April 1991, the album was produced by Tim Friese-Greene and engineered by Phill Brown.
