Marquee Moon is the debut album by American rock band Television, released on February 8, 1977, by Elektra Records. By the time of the album’s release, Television had become a prominent act in the New York music scene, attracting interest from various record labels before signing with Elektra. The band spent months rehearsing and recorded the album at A & R Recording in September 1976, with production handled by frontman Tom Verlaine and sound engineer Andy Johns.
This album will look nice on your wall, we get it, you like Helvetica and the grainy image. But for heaven’s sake, put it on your record player.
