Description
Formed in Melbourne in late 2008, Twerps quickly gained recognition with a series of vinyl singles and cassettes released on various labels. Their 2011 self-titled debut album, recorded with producer Jack Farley at Head Gap, marked their first time in a professional studio. The release led to appearances at SXSW and CMJ, along with tours with Real Estate and Mac DeMarco. To share new music before 2015, Twerps recorded the UNDERLAY EP. Their second full-length album, RANGE ANXIETY, also produced by Farley, addresses the fear of running out of gas—both literally and metaphorically. The album blends influences from the Go-Betweens and Flying Nun while developing a style uniquely their own.
