Recorded during Cannonball Adderley's time with Miles Davis' First Great Quintet, this album features Davis as a rare sideman after 1955. Davis plays several opening solos, composed the title track, and selected much of the material. "Autumn Leaves" and "Love for Sale" would later become staples in Davis' repertoire.
