The Heart Of Saturday Night (Vinyle)

The Heart of Saturday Night is Tom Waits' second studio album, released on October 15, 1974, by Asylum Records. The title track was written as a tribute to Jack Kerouac. This album marks the beginning of Waits' decade-long collaboration with producer Bones Howe. The cover, inspired by In the Wee Small Hours by Frank Sinatra, features an illustration of a weary Waits watched by a blonde woman as he leaves a neon-lit cocktail lounge. Art direction was by Cal Schenkel, with cover art by Lynn Lascaro.
