Discreet Music is the fourth studio album by Brian Eno and the first released under his full name. The A-side features a 30-minute piece with synthesizer and tape delay, while the B-side includes three variations on Pachelbel's Canon in D Major, performed by the Cockpit Ensemble and conducted by Gavin Bryars. The album marks a shift toward the ambient style Eno would formalize with Ambient 1: Music for Airports in 1978.
