Description
After guitarist Bob Welch left Fleetwood Mac in 1974, the band welcomed Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, joining Mick Fleetwood, Christine McVie, and John McVie. Their self-titled tenth album, released in 1975, achieved commercial success, with singles like "Over My Head" and "Rhiannon" reaching the U.S. Top 20. Amidst personal turmoil, including divorces, relationship struggles, and press intrusions, the band began crafting new material in early 1976, with Fleetwood and John McVie assuming greater control over production.
