Description
Astronauts crash-land on a distant planet and found a civilization, which within generations develops its own mythology, religion, and tyranny. Andrzej Zulawski's halted production — the regime shut it down in 1977; he finished it in 1988 using narrated present-day footage to cover the missing scenes — is one of the strangest and most ambitious films ever made.
