In My Own Time

In My Own Time is the second and final studio album by Karen Dalton, released by Paramount Records in 1971. Produced by Harvey Brooks, it was the last of Dalton's work to be released before her death in 1993. The album was reissued by Light in the Attic in 2006.

AllMusic’s Thom Jurek described it as "a more polished effort than her cozy, somewhat more raw debut." Jurek praised the album as the definitive Karen Dalton record, highlighting its unique sound and the way it pushed Dalton beyond her comfort zone. He noted that, "Without apology or concern for technique, she could make any song her own, creating a personal narrative that extended beyond the song itself, moving through her and becoming a truth for the listener."
