Description
Patterns in Repeat was written following Laura Marling's 2023 debut into motherhood. The album delves into themes of motherhood, aging, and the generational patterns passed down through families. It begins with the sound of a man and woman conversing, accompanied by a baby's cooing. Recorded at Marling's home studio and Bert Jansch Studio in London, with string sessions at Smilo Sound in Brooklyn, New York, the album was co-produced by Marling and Dom Monks.
