Bill Withers's debut album — recorded when he was 33, still working on an aircraft assembly line — introduced one of the most natural and unpretentious voices in soul music. "Ain't No Sunshine" and "Grandma's Hands" alone would have secured his reputation; the rest of the album is equally warm, assured, and unaffected. Pressed on 180g vinyl.
