Released on Habibi Funk, Bourj Hammoud Groove collects the recordings of Ara Kekedjian — an Armenian-Lebanese musician whose 1970s and '80s home-studio productions fuse disco grooves, synth-pop textures, and deep Armenian melodic traditions. Bourj Hammoud is the historic Armenian quarter of Beirut, and these eleven tracks carry its warmth and colour.
