Description
Set in Paris in 1969, CQ follows Paul, a young American editor working on a campy sci-fi adventure called Codename: Dragonfly. When the film’s eccentric director is fired, Paul is suddenly asked to finish the movie — just as he’s struggling to complete his own black-and-white documentary about his life. As he falls for the film’s glamorous star, the line between his real world and the movie’s pop-art fantasy begins to blur.
Directed by Roman Coppola, CQ is a stylish homage to 1960s European cinema — part retro spy spoof, part reflection on creativity, love, and identity. Coppola’s playful visual approach mixes color, black-and-white, and split-screen imagery to create a vivid, self-aware look at the art of filmmaking itself.
