Description
Set during the brutal Battle of Stalingrad in 1942, Enemy at the Gates tells the story of Vassili Zaitsev (Jude Law), a Soviet sniper who becomes a propaganda hero of the Red Army as he picks off German officers one by one. His reputation draws the attention of a crack German sniper, Major König (Ed Harris), sent specifically to eliminate him — turning the siege into a deadly game of cat and mouse amid the rubble. Directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud, the film features strong support from Rachel Weisz, Bob Hoskins, and Joseph Fiennes.
