O Brother, Where Art Thou? (Blu-ray)

Three Depression-era Mississippi chain gang escapees — Everett (George Clooney), Pete (John Turturro), and Delmar (Tim Blake Nelson) — go on a picaresque odyssey across the American South in search of hidden treasure, encountering a one-eyed Bible salesman, a trio of sirens, the Ku Klux Klan, and a blind railroad prophet along the way. The Coen Brothers' loose adaptation of Homer's Odyssey is joyously funny, visually inventive, and features a Grammy-winning soundtrack of period Americana that helped trigger a major revival of interest in old-time music.
