Description
Mario Bava's visionary science-fiction horror is widely cited as a direct influence on Ridley Scott's Alien. Two spacecraft responding to a distress signal from an uncharted planet find their crews possessed by hostile entities. Bava creates a genuinely eerie alien atmosphere on a shoestring budget, and the film's fog-drenched, primary-coloured imagery remains extraordinarily beautiful.
