Promises - 5th Anniversary Edition (Vinyle)

A landmark collaboration between British electronic musician Floating Points (Sam Shepherd), jazz saxophone legend Pharoah Sanders, and the London Symphony Orchestra. Originally released in 2021 on Luaka Bop, Promises consists of a single 46-minute composition divided into nine movements, built around a recurring melodic motif from Shepherd's synthesizers, piano, and harpsichord, with Sanders' lyrical tenor saxophone passages throughout. Shortlisted for the 2021 Mercury Prize, it was the final studio album Sanders released before his death in 2022. Now available in a 5th Anniversary edition on Abiogenesis Blue/Green vinyl.
