Description
A theatre company rehearsing a musical about a serial killer finds itself locked inside a building with an actual one — a deranged patient who has escaped from a nearby asylum and taken refuge in the stage. Michele Soavi's directorial debut (produced by Dario Argento collaborator Joe D'Amato) is one of the finest entries in the Italian giallo tradition: a rigorously constructed slasher picture that uses the theatrical space to generate extraordinary visual tension.
