Description
The president of a small cable channel discovers a rogue transmission called Videodrome — featuring snuff footage and torture — and finds the signal altering his reality, his body, and his sense of what is real. David Cronenberg's hallucinatory body-horror film is one of the essential films of the 1980s: a prophetic, formally staggering meditation on television, technology, the body, and the nature of mass media.
