Jean-Jacques Beineix's Betty Blue introduced Béatrice Dalle to the world in a star-making performance of raw, almost frightening intensity. Nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, the film was a worldwide sensation in 1986 and has only grown in stature since. The Criterion Collection presents both the original theatrical cut and Beineix's definitive three-hour director's cut on a single two-disc Blu-ray edition.
