Peace Flag Ensemble return with their third LP, Everything Is Possible, showcasing a sharper focus and wider appeal. The ambient free jazz collective steps into a more accessible, canorous space, where each member shines while supporting one another. The album centers around pianist Jon Neher’s improvisations, with more melodic and virtuosic moments after his realization that his piano could play a more prominent role. Flugelhornist Dalton Lam and saxophonist Paul Gutheil share lyrical exchanges, while drummer Mike Thievin anchors with subtle yet intricate rhythms. Produced by Michael Scott Dawson, the album blends Tortoise-inspired atmospherics with the spirit of Keith Jarrett. Everything Is Possible takes its name from a misread novelty T-shirt.
