Description
A lonely, bullied twelve-year-old boy named Oskar (Kåre Hedebrant) finds an unlikely companion in Eli (Lina Leandersson), a strange girl who has moved in next door to his Stockholm apartment block. As their tender friendship deepens into something approaching first love, Oskar comes to realise that Eli is no ordinary child — she is a vampire, and has been twelve years old for a very long time. Tomas Alfredson's adaptation of John Ajvide Lindqvist's novel is one of the great horror films of the 21st century: chilling, melancholy, and unexpectedly moving.
