Description
Robert Eggers' extraordinary second feature stars Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson as two lighthouse keepers stranded on a desolate New England rock in the 1890s, their sanity unravelling under the assault of storms, isolation, and the mysteriously guarded light. Shot in 1.19:1 black-and-white on film with orthochromatic filters, it is one of the most visually distinctive films of its decade.
