Description
When 73-year-old Alvin Straight learns that his estranged brother has suffered a stroke, he sets out from Iowa to Wisconsin to reconcile, travelling the only way he can, on a lawnmower. David Lynch's most tender and uncharacteristic film is a road movie of uncommon grace, based on the true story of Alvin Straight's 1994 journey. Richard Farnsworth received an Academy Award nomination for his remarkable performance.
